Mobile users pls know about I C E by Ableshwar says: We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE" For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference! Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in ourMobile phones today!

Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India (BRAI) bill by Das Samarendra says: Hi,
Soon all of us will be eating genetically contaminated food. The Cabinet has just approved the Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India (BRAI) bill which will allow genetically modified food into the country. The bill can be tabled in the Parliament anytime.
The BRAI will be a body of technocrats whose decisions will remain unquestioned. Our state governments and people like us will not be able to question this body.
To stop this, Greenpeace, a civil society organisation working on varied issues including sustainable agriculture, is sending an open letter to the National Advisory Council (NAC) Chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi. The letter asks her to make the Government re-draft this bill after consulting the public. I have already signed this letter and more signatures will make the case stronger.
Can you also sign this letter to Sonia Gandhi?

Brig K.G.Behl (Retd) Open letter to the Hon’ble Prime Minister says: ‘Open letter to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’

Bsc.Engr(Svy),AMIS,FRGS,MCA,MCSI
President Dehradun Ex- Services League.
8A, Nemi Road, Dalanwala,
Dehradun- 248001.
No.KGB/DESL/A/9 5 August 2010
Hon’ble Prime Minister Sir,
As India grows in the comity of Nations, there is a pride in every Indian in the achievements that our countrymen have attained in various fields. However, despite the fact that we are amongst the fastest growing economies in the World, we continue to have the highest incidence of poverty and corruption. Corruption is not only a reflection of misuse of funds but it is a misuse of power, position and arrogant personal self aggrandizement. These people in positions of power are not only eroding the institutions that make a nation but are creating Marxists/ Maoists/ terrorists etc who are getting themselves organized into big disintegrating forces who are not even scared of Defence Forces due to lot of discontentment generated there also, by these power hungry Politicians/ Bureaucrats.
Govt. Orders are not being faithfully implemented by MOD and anomalies pointed out by competent people are either being ignored or swept under the carpet. MOD needs to be reoriented and told to act as per rules and not as per their whims and fancies. Surprisingly, no one is hauled up by Ministers for not taking actions or distorting orders, though the cases are self explanatory and need no other assistance, legal or otherwise.
I am taking liberty to write this open letter to you so that you may wake up and open the eyes of those, who after committing mistakes sit down and close their eyes like pigeons and refuse to open those thinking that the impending dangers will automatically ward of, without realizing that there is no escape. Secondly, they will not allow this letter to reach you, unless it is made open, through Media and Press.
It is surprising that they have been allowed to mishandle even the Institution of Defence Forces Personnel, who today comprise the largest body of Nationalists. The MOD is consistently maltreating the Armed Forces personnel and their genuine issues relating to Pay, Pension and welfare matters have either been swept under the carpet or called sub-judice, when actually they are not so, creating a large discontentment. The issues of the status and anomalies of the various Pay Commissions, especially since the 4th Pay Commission(1986) have been dealt with in such a cavalier fashion that today there is utter despair and discontentment amongst the Armed Forces personnel. These are the guys who are prompting Defence Forces to become corrupt by adopting ways and means shown by them, to amass money in making purchases and delaying matters – as are being used by them in Defence purchases. Innocent Defence Personnel fall prey in their laid down traps and suffer. It needs to be stopped forthwith by transferring coterie of staff positioned there for years together. Surprisingly, such controversial letters they do not sign such letters themselves but fire from others shoulders.
It is happening because of absence of Armed Forces personnel at the decision making level, be it at the Pay Commissions, Govt. Defence committees or within the MOD, to pursue agenda and represent correct facts. This needs to be implemented forthwith like USA and other countries where Defence Officers are inducted in MOD and other committees / commissions, so that their problems could be projected correctly and justice could be done to them.
As a disciplined body, Defence Personnel have represented their just grievances through petitions, Parliamentary questions, letters to the Hon’ble President of India, your esteemed office and other dignified avenues but each one of those have been snowballed by the MOD bureaucracy. There is a perception that the MOD is unwilling to accept mistakes or errors of judgment and continue to ride on the premise that an acceptance of their mistake would be a sacrilegious act of succumbing to the Armed Forces. As a result they have come up with half baked solutions that have only aggravated the trust deficit amongst the MOD and the Armed Forces personnel. It is humane to make mistakes or err but Divine to accept and remove those errors. But it appears that the MOD does not believe in this dictum and never amend their orders, even when found wrong even by the Supreme Court of India. They are prepared to spend money in forming committees, fighting cases in Courts or giving more costly half baked solutions, rather than accepting their mistake gracefully and setting the matters right.
Sir, they do not know the importance of Rank in Defence Forces, and are treating it like any other commodity which can be compensated by money. Sitting in offices and scaling every thing in terms of money alone, is spoiling the whole structure of Defence Forces where the tradition is to obey orders of seniors in rank and go out and fight the enemy at the cost of their lives. This aspect they can never realize unless there is ‘conscription’ i.e. compulsorily spending some time serving in Defence Forces. Hon’ble Prime Minister Sir, you can seriously think of introducing it in view of growing indiscipline, lawlessness, regionalism and Naxalite/ Maoist/terrorist activities in some parts of the country. For youth NCC be made compulsory in all schools and colleges.
The issue of the Rank Pay granted by the 4th Pay Commission in 1986, that has been upheld by the Supreme Court on 8 March 2010, a clear case of injustice, is back in the wilderness with the MOD appeal against it, just to waste time, needs to be withdrawn from court and immediately implemented.. The anomalies raised in 5th and 6th CPC which are very practical, be immediately implemented. There are a number of cases where they have allowed payments to some individuals who raised those but though as per rules they are denying others the same benefits. Once a mistake has been detected it should automatically be rectified in all similar cases without asking by other affected persons. It is pity that no such action is being taken to benefit other affected persons.
The issue of a separate Pay Commission approved by your office has yet to see the light of the day. It is need of the hour today and not when the damage is done after a decade, when new Pay is set up as per routine.
Hon’ble PM Sir, the list can go on but some of the glaring omissions have been explained in the enclosed Annexure. I would like to beseech you to please consider the following suggestions to set our house in order as the first small step:-
Set up a Commission comprising of 30% serving defence personnel, 30% retired defence personnel and 30% MOD bureaucracy and the remaining 10% from other experts on Pay/pension matters, all under the Chairmanship of a retired Supreme Court judge to examine and resolve all matters relating to defence personnel in a time bound manner., including One Rank One Pension issue which is not as big a financial or administrative issue as projected by the MOD. This is a classic case of bureaucratic myopia which the MOD suffers from. The details of a simple attainment and implementation of the One Rank One Pension issue is explained in the enclosed Annexure.
Well established rulings, viz. the 4th Pay Commission order by the Supreme Court to be implemented immediately and MOD personnel attempting delaying tactics to be either disciplined or transferred.
Order conscription as a compulsory need for all bureaucracy as well as personnel aspiring for political offices to bring about a semblance of nation building and pride in the nation. NCC be made compulsory for all youths.
May I request you, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sir, to take immediate remedial steps to address the above for the good of the Nation.
With best wishes and highest regards,
Yours Sincerely,

dr shaker says: Following is a list of things you can do to try to reduce mosquito breeding grounds on your property.
Increase water flow and decrease water surface area and improve natural drainage. Routinely flush or drain water breeding areas.
Clean out your eaves, troughs and gutters. Constantly monitor for new larval habitats.
Keep grass cut short and shrubbery well trimmed to eliminate cool hiding places.
Remove old tires or drill holes in those used for playground equipment to allow them to drain.
Turn over or remove plastic pots, buckets and tin cans. Cover trash containers.
Pick up broken, unused or discarded toys.
Pick up all beverage containers and cups and/or plates.
Check tarps on boats or other equipment that may collect water in pockets or indentations.
Pump out bilges on boats or add enzyme cleaner or some food-grade DE or starch.
Replace water in birdbaths at least once a week or add a drop or two of enzymes.
Replace water in pet or other animal feeding dishes or troughs at least once a week.
Dispose of broken or used kiddie pools.
Pick up plastic wrappers used for food or other products; mosquitoes can breed even in a potato chipbag that has collected water.
Don’t leave garbage can lids lying around upside down check basins at road corners.
Check plants, such as bromeliads, with large leaves that may collect water in axils, where the leaves join the stem. Eliminate the plant, keep it inside, or flush it out with a spray of water or tip the plant over at least once a week or add a drop or two of enzyme cleaner.
Check holes in trees or stumps or low spots that may collect water; remove stumps, plug holes with sand or aerosol foam or cement, or flush out with spray of water or diluted enzyme cleaner at least once a week.
Change water in bottom of plant containers, including hanging plants, at least once a week.
Remove vegetation or obstructions in drainage ditches that prevent the flow of water.
Fix dripping outdoor faucets or pipes that create pools of water and air conditioner drain outlets.
Check wheelbarrows, pet/livestock watering containers, sump pump pits, swampy areas, bromeliads, low spots in tarps, flower pots, vases, dry wells, rain barrels, ornamental pools, flat roofs and ditches.
Add enzyme cleaner or food-grade DE or starch to all standing water sources.
Cultivate dragonfly and damselfly populations to eat them.
This way we can protect ourselves from malarial infection

While many top athletes have decided to skip the Delhi Games to concentrate on their preparations for other major events, including the 2012 London Olympics, some have decided not to go to India for security or pollution reasons. Among them is top hurdler Priscilla Lopes-Schliep - a bronze medalist at the 2008 Olympics and a silver at the 2009 worlds - who has decided not to go New Delhi because of concerns about security and pollution, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. If top players skip this games, do you think Commomwelath Games would be a grand success?

Harold Willams: 10 Amazing Lessons from Albert Einstein says: :
1) Follow Your Curiosity
The pursuit of your curiosity is the secret to your success.
2) Perseverance is Priceless
3) Focus on the Present
My father always says you can't ride two horses at the same time. I like to say, you can do anything, but not everything. Learn to be present where you are; give your all to whatever you’re currently doing. Focused energy is power, and it’s the difference between success and failure.
4) The Imagination is Powerful
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions. Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
5) Make Mistakes
“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” Never be afraid of making a mistake. A mistake is not a failure. Mistakes can make you better, smarter and faster.
6) Live in the Moment
7) Create Value
“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."
8) Don’t Expect Different Results
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
you must change, to the degree that you change your actions and your thinking is to the degree that your life will change.
9) Knowledge Comes From Experience
“Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.”
Knowledge comes from experience. You can discuss a task, but discussion will only give you a philosophical understanding of it; you must experience the task first hand to “know it.”
10) Learn the Rules and Then Play Better
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”

Sanjay Chaturvedi says: Commonwealth picture:
The display of government's failure on the commonwealth front on all TV channels is really eye opener for all. It has undoubtedly influenced the speeding efforts of the government too. But the question which no body is asking is : what next ?
Critisising government machinery on channel is the duty of media but what about the image of the country which we are spoiling even before the start of the games ? The channels are shown all over the globe. The people who are not a party to the games also know that the country is not prepared for the games, the corruption in our system, the officials are syphoning crores out of the system in the name of the last minute preperations of the games and other such issues. Is it correct to malign the image of the nation without providing a last chance to the government. However, the last chance should be with the commitment that if there is a failure, no second chance to be given to the culprits responsible for the fail. Even the government (state or central) has no right to be in power, enjoying luxuries from the public money and still appointing committees to identify the point of failure. But are we that much committed to our country or as usual are we going to forget all this once games are finished ?
In addition to the same the point of discussion should be what next ? Every struggle has some second line of action. Same must be there in this case also. The authorities should now be waken up to find out the troubleshooting measures. They must be asked what is your second stand by plan to make good the loss to the national image around the world. It is not sufficient to just show the seepage, caving roads, unfinished buildings etc. Something needs to be done to save our honour.
It is the time for media to work out on these lines setting aside their bios against anyone of the issues.

Yesterday it was heavy rain making the traffic to a standstill. Sewerlines choked, as usual. But this year there is a good thing to be noted. The exit of the water is very fast and it was a matter of a few hours when most of the water on streets disappeared in the drains.
Today it is drizzling since the morning. Now and there there are clouds with a short shower. Not a wise day to plan in advance on the basis of an estimation of the weather.

CommonWealth games Debate My View by krish says: Commonwealth Games: It is a Pride for the country. It helps our local talents to get the moral booster that we have something other than Cricket as well in the sports category. It will definetely improve the tourism to India not only during the games, but the infastruture developed for the games will be going to be with us for years to come catering to more potential tourism rupee coming into the country. Mani Shankar Aiyer looks with a narrow mind of 15 days as a period where as in my view the developmemts happend in the name of commonwealth games will yield us tourim dollars for next 10 years. If you can visualise the location of Asian Games village then and Now, you can feel the development. It is rather unfortunate that the planning was not sufficient enough to complete the activities well ahead of time but I am sure all developments will get completed well in time.

It is high time for officers of the GNIDA to take charge of the security of the sectors till the sectors settle down with actual users.
With no security it is virtually free for all to visit various sector in the night for nefarious designs

LATEST CANCER INFO by Asit Sanyal says: I found this e mail...thought I must circulate in the public domain..
AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINSIS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY ...
Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.
3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.
4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.
5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.
6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc., and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.
8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.
9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.
10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.
11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.
b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.
c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.
To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.
13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.
14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.
Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

We Transformed India Series: Being Indian by Krish says: We discussed the need of being Indian in the previous post. Today is Vijay Diwas ,the day we successfully retained our LOC back. We were proud of that moment as Indians. Even today we celebrate as Indians ----
Hence being Indian is within us and we can easily get adopted to it. Today we use it for anything related to Pakistan either War, Cricket etc., But the day we adopt it generally nd be proud of being Indian we move towards step 2 of Casteless and Colourless India. ----
Another Villain who promotes racism in India is our movies. The comic characters are the poison that spreads racism. They use wither the caste based roles or region based roles and seed poison in the mind of young generation. They so design the characters so that some controversy should happen which in turn can be used as a promotional material for the movie. ----
The characters who Pronounce any language differently is made mockery. For a moment we forget that the day we go out to a different country where the language is wither alien to us or we have little knowledge we are going to be on the other side of the table and a subject to mockery. Take for example the person who did the role of Chathur Ramalingam in 3-idiots. He pronounced Hindi differently and we make mockery on others using his style. But he used that at of innocence on a language to get more similar rolls and make money out of it. Now tell me who is Idiot, we OR the person who used our weakness and converted that into money making machine? ----
The only way to stop is show our apathy in accepting it and tell our concern explicitly. I would like to conclude by quoting what JFK said to the fellow Americans on January 20th 1961.Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. John F. Kennedy. (to read the full speech visit http://www.famousquotes.me.uk/speeches/John_F_Kennedy/5.htm)

Sneha Bhardwaj - Salute to Kargil Heroes on Vijay Diwas says: In the Kargil war, the Pakistan Army had taken the initiative and surprised us. We were reacting to a situation, like we did in 1947-48, 1962 and 1965 when attacked by the enemy. The political objective was to “get the Kargil intrusion vacated and restore the sanctity of the LoC” with a rider not to cross the LoC or the border. We achieved that on July 26 when Pakistani troops were either thrown out physically or withdrew from some occupied positions on our terms and conditions. Jai Hind!

Builders and property dealers are building their dreams in Greater Noida - Swati Sinha says:
Greater Noida is mainly a plotted township that falls in Delhi NCR area and is reaping huge benefits in terms of real estate. The unaffordable property in Delhi shifted attention of developers to Noida realty as it offered vast land at reasonable prices. The property in Noida flourished eventually so much so that the property prices in the city have now sky rocketed. The builders are again in a fix and looking for other feasible options that may extend long term benefits and help cater to the phenomenal influx of population into the region. Thus, property in Greater Noida has come across as the next best option given its location advantage, excellent connectivity, green environs and the behemoth potential for development.

WE Transformed India-2050 (WETRI) Series: Identifying ourselves by Krish says: Now that we have moved a step forward by understanding that caste system is a simply imaginary line drawn , let us see how can we push the line backward----
To go into the core o the problem first of all we need to understand who we are. In short we know we all are Humans. But what we need to recognize in addition to that is we are all Indians. Only when we go out of India and only when we meet people of any other country. The moment we meet another person of Indian origin we forgot the country and retard to the region we belong. The proud of being an Indian goes off and the language, colour and the region takes pride. ---
I am sure it is not prevalent only in India but in many countries. But here is explicit. The need of the day is to cross this barrier and be proud of being an Indian. Indian in India will be the dream come true and if it happens, the target 2050 can be easily achieved much before.---
So, from today when asked a question where do you belong from, our answer should be “ I’m from Northern part of India OR say from Southern part of India but Not as North India or South India. WE Transform India. Let us Unite India.

WE Transformed India (WETRI) Series – Identify the gaps to create a casteless India by Krish says:
Some of us have taken oath to work on transforming India for the better future of our grandchildren. You may wonder why I a always talking about grand children. Because change takes time to get implemented. Especially change in society takes generations…---
Before we move on we need to understand the basics one again. We always talk about God and Demon? Has anyone seen it? I will say yes, I have seen, I see them everyday in my life. Ys friends, I am talking about the human being whom I refer as God and Demon. If the soft, honest, disciplined, obedient, ever smiling feature of us is explicitly visible then we see god in there and if the arrogant, dishonest, ruthless features of us is explicitly visible then we see a Demon there. In short we play the dual role in our life every day. ---
Another basic is “caste”. What is it? It was just a self disciplined system created once upon a time to draw a line on the job role of a person like we practice in our office. The team which understands the need, plan the actions and educate others to implement the action is called “ Managers”, The team which executes the action is called “Engineers”, The team which provides any other support is called “Helpers”. This is exactly how the caste system was also decided. ---
But instead of understanding that it is role we play during our short stay in this world we get involved in the character and turn into one. Instead of believing I am a Human and working as Executive now, he is a human working as Helper now, we believe that I am an executive and he is my helper. When ever an executive sees a helper, the Demon characters of the Human in the executive induce him to show his power on the Helper and keep him under his feet. This exactly what happened in our caste system, Some people who declared themselves as higher or middle or what ever you say started taking advantage of the power and facilities and made the thin invisible boundary line which was made just to define the work role we need to play and created a wall.---
Few years back there was a similar wall between East Germany and West Germany and our generation decided to break it and in a short time we forgot east and west and we only remember Germany now. ---
So, Nothing is impossible, if we decide to do so. Let us see how can we break the wall on caste in coming days.. if you have some innovative plan to break this barrier let us know…

India will be the third largest economy in the world by 2050. Are we going to be proud of this as Indians? by Krish says: An article "The G20 in 2050", carried in November bulletin of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace said, "China, India, and the United States will emerge as the world’s three largest economies in 2050.---
While the government policies, ever growing industries, proper implementation of growth plans will make it happen, it will be the proudest moment for us to cheer that. But a question which longs in my mind is while we have 40 years to achieve this feat and no doubt India will put every effort to achieve this, will the proud moment be celebrated by the INDIANS living in this country or by Tamilians, Keralite, Punjabis, Kashmiris, Bengalis, Gujarathis etc., living in this country ???? or by the caste we belong to??---
India suffocates by the differences we find with people on their colour and Caste. It is time while the Government works on policies to build a super power India 2050, Let us start building a Colourless and Casteless Society.----
I read in one of the news letters I subscribe to which says “ A Single Tree cannot be a Forest; but, many such will help to create a forest” . Hence to create a casteless and colour less India, we need to transform ourselves individually but as every single tree accounts for the forest and is identified as a part of Forest and NOT as Single Tree, let us also Identify our transformation to a colour less and casteless society as a country. Let us take a oath to be part of Colour less and Casteless India :2050 and be proud to say to our grandchildren that “ WE Transformed India ( WETRI). ---
Would you like to be part of this and like to say ““ WE Transformed India “ in 2050? Write in this blog.

SUGGESTION TO BRING NOIDA IN TOURISM MAP - PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE . by Krish says: SUGGESTION TO BRING NOIDA IN TOURISM MAP - PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE.---
One of the report on Tourism of India says nealy 3 million people visit Taj Mahal. ( UP tourism can give the exact figure) While it is a big boost to UP tourism, one thing we have forgot to notice is almost of 90 - 95% of the three million tourists visit our neibouring city Delhi as well. ---
If I try to calculate how much percentage of the crowd which visits Delhi visits Noida/ GNoida, one question that comes to my mind is why should one visit Noida / G Noida? what is there to see? and unfortunately it is true. While we have a great potential of visitors who are already visiting Delhi, with litle effort to build some attractions in Noida, we can divert the crowd to our city. Before we discuss on what to do to get tourists, let us see its effects. ---
1. Every rupee spent by a tourist will contribute to our local economic developmement. And part of the money spent back on Noida's over all infrastructure developmement will furthur increase the tourism. Hence a single rupee earned on tourism can be easily multiplied.----
2. In short the amount of earning UP tourism makes in TajMahal an just get doubled by diverting the same crowd to Noida, because the crowd already visits our neighbouring city.
---
3. Improvement in Direct and Indirect employments
and many more.............
But if we look at the areas that attract tourism are Historic Monuments, Wild Life, Adventure tourism, Beaches, religious places, Hill stations etc., and unfortunately Noida doesn't have any of this. So what could attract a tourist to come here?????----
come forward with your meaningful thoughts... Let us try to bring NOIDA / GNOIDA in the tourism map of India.
Write your thoughts in this blog. Let us collect all the options and suggest some select options to the government to execute.
F1 tracks and Night Safari are going to play a role here but the question is " Is it going to be a choice for every tourist to make a stop here? Let us think some unique opportunities to force the tourists even the poorest of the tourist to make a stop at this place.

RTI for past , present or Future? by Krish says: RTI is mostly being used to get information on the actions that were taken and mostly results in postmortem of information where as this is supposed to be used as a life saving drug as it is intended for. In my opinion, postmortem will only result in getting information that either which shocks us, make us worry or sometimes happy. But whatever has to happen is already happened and no one can turn it back. Is there anyone who uses RTI to find out the various projects planned in Govt, when it was planned , when it is going to be executed, is the ruling government does the project for the benefit of people or for the party''s benefit by announcing it during the election time etc? --- In simple can RTI be used to find out the future plans of Govt? Did anyone try it?

Thanks Mr.Krishna for keeping Cool By Krish says: Dear Foreign Minister, By keeping cool and not becoming prey to the pressure tactics of the FM of PAK you avoided a major setback on the peace talks. It appeared to be a planned attack to pluck words from the mouth of our minister which could be used else where to show that India is not ready for the peace process. The body language of FM of PAK is a clear witness yo what is in his mind. On behalf of Indian Citizens I congratulate you for the well maintained smile through out and not falling under the pressure tactics. Pakistan is no doubt under pressure from the entire world and any breach from India side will taken with lot of Hue and cry by Pakistan to the entire world to justify that it was India who is not ready. What he forgot is we are peace loving people and we have an experience minister on the board. ----- Dear Minister, Your silence in the Pakistan soil was the nice answer to the comments made the their FM to tell them that we do not care your words anymore. Keep the house in order and then call us for talks again. ---- By making comments the FM of PAK spoiled his image and his country’s image in the world’s eye and by keeping silent you made India proud.

Reply to We live in a nation bY KRISH says: Is the country or the countrymen who needs the change?) We live in a nation like this because. 1. We pray for the Pizza guy to come late so that we can get it free and be in his shoes for a day you will know how much trouble he takes to deliver it in time and if not how much he suffers. Jumping red signals, Crossing lanes without indicators, driving at speed which almost kills self and others are the result of the prayer we do to get him late to eat Pizza free. BUT We Don’t give space for the Ambulance , Fire tenders or police jeeps to move . We hate to move on one side so that they can move to their destination where emergency is.---MEANING--- OUR SELFISH ATTITUDE what we have makes the nation to deliver the Pizza fast and get the Ambulance late. 2. The same car loan company which gives at 5% will not give a personal loan to the same person at lower rate ( forget education load here) because we are not honest to our commitments MEANING Our attitude towards escaping from commitments makes the banker believe the car papers which are hypothecated to him is safer than the word from human who has six senses, brain and supposed to be Gentle. 3. SIM card is free: -- have you ever heard that “ There is no Free Lunch” Now you think why SIm card is given free you will get the answers. SIM card is like the worm in the fishing rod to catch you to fry later. However RICE is at 40/- a Kilo because ---- a. ----The lever of agriculture is growing in negative growth rate year after year. The demand is more as we grow in population everyday but the supply is less as most of the agriculturist converted their lands to something else. We do not see agriculture as a prestigious business activity anymore. We feel shame to be called as “Agriculturist” . ---- b. ----Everyone of us look for a white color job. Agriculture is not by generation anymore. We believe in killing the “Golden Goose” by converting into residential land and make money rather than allowing it to give the egg one at a time and for a long term. --- MEANING --- Our greed on quick buck killed the golden goose which resulted in Rice@40.-- 4. Charity: - Charity is misunderstood by many of us. What Madam Teresa did is charity work because charity actually means Love. We feel by giving some thousands of rupees OR a free food for day OR some cloths we do charity work Actually by giving it free we only make some of the receiver lazy because they know as long as Charity is misunderstood their life is easy. Instead of giving free ask them to clean their own street or the Garbage near their home to earn the charity then the charity will end in some result. We do not have time and throw the money to someone to do charity who takes part of the sum for themselves and give rest on free to generate more lazier people in India. As a result with no work to do courtesy the Charity donors they end up increasing the population as they know that if they can live in “ Everything for Free” world then their kids can also adopt the same,------------- 5. Chapels, vegetables, cloths are sold in Footpath as well as AC show rooms. Have you ever heard of branded items 15 years back? We were wearing good chapels that lasted for many years, Cloths that never faded for many years, Vegetables that are healthy from ordinary shops. I remember the only occasion we got new cloths were Diwali and Birthday. We managed with that for a year long. Those days the people were recognized by their names and their good deeds. Today we are recognized by “The brand of car , the shoe, the perfume and brad of the cloths. It is unfortunate but true.--- Have we ever thought why should one advertise someone’s product by paying money to them instead of getting from them? --- I pay heavily to XYZ brand to buy their T-Shirt with their logo and happy to wear it and give a free advertising for them just because I get recognized only on the brand I wear. Today, the recognition of is on their brand. You get friend based on what shoe you wear and what T-Shirt you use. MEANING it is our passion towards false recognition and eager to quick fame is the cause. The cycle will come back but unfortunately today we are high on External branding.-------------- 6.Lemon’s --- One of the advertising shows the guy drinking the lemon juice remembers his mother giving him the lemon juice when he was young . It shows how knows what is good and practiced by is own family which he never practices now. When we go to the shop we never ask for COOL DRINK” we ask for “ COLD DRINK” There is something to learn here “ COOL DRINK” need not be cold. They are taken to keep our body cool. “ Butter Milk, coconut water, Yogurt, Lemon Juice can be called as COOL DRINKs which helps our body to get cool but we don’t like it. IF you go to a village, they offer a glass of water or a glass of Buttermilk BUT we believe in the Drink which is kept cold and artificially tasty to quench our thrust instantly without bothering its after effects. Next time when you are feel hot try a pack of Butter Milk instead of Cola OR a Coconut water instead of artificial Lemonade… MEANING It’s our attitude towards not practicing what we know makes others take advantage by offering alternates.------------- So after this lengthy discussion in short “ there is no problem with the country we live and no change is required for the country it is the countrymen who need to undergo the change to make the country better.----------- Lastly, I want to conclude by saying “no other countrymen make fun of their country as we do”. We make mockery of our country within ourselves and amongst our foreigner friends and become sad if we call our country as land of Snake Charmers and beggers. First we need to change ourselves to be proud of country and work towards making the country of proud of us. I remember a saying “ Instead of asking what the country offers to you ask yourself what you offered to your country”---------- Let us bring the change…. Today is the nice day to start working towards it because let us forget our past and not delay further.

We live in a Nation ..by Shalabh says: Where Pizza reaches home faster than Ambulance & POLICE. Where you get car loan @ 5% and education loan @ 12%. Where rice is Rs 40/- per kg but SIM card is free. Where a millionaire can buy a cricket team instead of donating the money to any charity. Where the footwear, we wear, are sold in AC showrooms, but vegetables, that we eat, are sold on the footpath. Where everybody wants to be famous but nobody wants to follow the path to be famous. Where we make lemon juices with artificial flavours and dish wash liquids with real lemon.

Overcoming Obstacles by Krish says: Advertisities and mishaps in life are to be taken in the stride and faced with bold resolve----Smile, with patient, hopeful heart, in troublous hour; Meet and so vanquish grief; nothing hath equal power.--- MEANING--- If troubles come, try to face it happily and feel everything is good though it is sorrow; there is nothing like that, to press upon and drive away sorrow.

Nopida Sector 50, RWA Management by Vineet Chaudhary says: PROTEST AGAINST THE RWA-50, BY RESIDENTS OF F-BLOCK GROUP HOUSING APARTMENTS.....TODAY(18/07/10) WE THE RESIDENTS OF THE GROUP HOUSING APARTMENTS OF F-BLOCK, SECTOR-50, PROTESTED AT THE GATE NO-14, OF SEC-50. NOW I EXPOSE THE WHOLE MATTER TO U, ACTUALLY ON 10/07/10 THE NEWLY ELECTED RWA OF SECTOR-50 PLOT OWNERS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED THE ENTRY GATE OF F-BLOCK GATE NO-14 & IT HAS CREATED A VERY PROBLEMATIC SITUATION FOR ALL THE RESIDENTS OF GROUP HOUSING APARTMENTS. AROUND 15000 PEOPLE LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS & THEY HAVE BEEN MADE TO SUFFER BY THIS WRONG DECISION OF RWA SEC-50. NOW AFTER THIS WRONG STEP, EVERY DAY APARTMENTS OWNERS HAVE TO TAKE EXTRA 3 TO 4 KILOMETER ROUTE TO REACH MARKET, MOTHER DAIRY, SUBZI MKT & TO THE MAIN ROAD. ON LAST SUNDAY WE REQUESTED TO THE RWA - 50 TO OPEN THE GATE & BE PRACTICAL BUT IT FELL ON THEIR DEAF EARS. DUE TO THIS STEP MOST BADLY HURT ARE WOMEN & CHILDREN, WHO HAVE TO COMMUTE BY RICKSHAWS TO THE MARKET, MOTHER DAIRY & MAIN ROAD & THEY HAVE TO PAY ATLEAST 25 FOR ONE WAY TO REACH MARKET OR MOTHER DAIRY.... THATSWHY TODAY ALL THE RESIDENTS GATHERED AT THE GATE NO-14 & PROTESTED AGAINST THE CLOSED GATE. ON THE GATE IS ALSO WRITTEN THAT THE GATE HAS BEEN CLOSED ON THE ORDER OF NOIDA POLICE. DURING THE PROTEST POLICE REACHED THE SPOT & IRONY CAME INTO LIGHT---- THAT POLICE WAS NOT EVEN AWARE OF GATE BEING PERMANENTLY CLOSED. EVEN AS PER THE RULINGS OF SUPREME COURT OF INDIA , NO RWA HAS THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE GATES OF ANY AREA, EVEN NOIDA AUTHORITY HAS THE SAME TYPE OF OPINION. DESPITE OF ALL THESE FACTS RWA-50 HAS TAKEN SUCH AN IRRESPONSIBLE STEP. THIS STEP HAS DIVIDED SECTOR-50 INTO TWO PARTS. ONE PART IS ENJOYING THE LUXURIES AT THE COST OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE OTHER PART, THIS IS INJUSTICE. ....TO STOP THIS INJUSTICE REQUESTS NOIDA AUTHORITY, RWA-50 & OTHER CONCERNED PEOPLE TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION EARLIEST POSSIBL.... MY MESSAGE IS VERY CLEAR--- MAKE BRIDGES NOT WALLS..... FOR MORE PLZ CONTACT---- -- Regards, Vineet Chaudhary President Hai Ummeed # 9873344993 haiummeed@gmail.com vineetchaudhary99@rediffmail.com ACTION against CORRUPTION

J & K and Mehbooba Mufti by Sanjay Chaturvedi says: Refusing to participate in the all party meet for finding out ways to peace in the kashmir area has proved that how concerned Mehbooba mufti is towards the interests of Kashmir as well as the country. Even if nothing would have resulted in the meeting, she should have at least participated in the meeting and raised her voice to whatever she thinks. I think it is the time to identify such people in the political life who make use of each and every happening to their favour. Mehbooba is just an example. People should wake up and instead of waiting for the next election, condemn such people publicly. Goverment should also have such rules that whenever a all party meet is called by the ruling party it has to be followed because ultimately its the "RULING PARTY". Why should it not rule ? People should not forget that the human memory is too short to get such happenings remembered till elections.

vijaychowk.com - NCR Delhi Online Forum by Sanjay Chaturvedi says: After the success and appreciation from all secions of the society strengthning of vijay chowk.com is really a commendable effort of the team. There is a major difference in the concept of Parichowk/Attachowk and that of Vijaychowk.com. whereas the earlier names are recognised by the local population only because the terms represents a particular location in the city but Vijaychowk needs no introduction and the name itself represents the whole country. Greater Noida Airport by Krish says: G Noida Airport: The success of this Airport links to the connectivity with Domestic Airport. Places like Lucknow can be succesful as International Airport as it servers for both Domestic and Intl as there is no airports nearby. where as With Domestic and International Airports in Delhi that too developed recently to match the standards of best of the airports, the success of GNOIDA airport is realy a risky one. Many Airports in different countries are well outisde the city and in this way having one at GNOIDA is logical as space in Delhi is a big constraint for future growth of airport. But at the same time a good trouble free ( free from traffic jams / water logging and allied problems) high speed connectivity through Road/Rail network to cities like New Delhi, Gurgaon is required to make it a success. Given a possibility of lesser ground rent, Airlines will prefer to land in GNOIDA, but they will also see whether public is ready to travel from different places without any trouble else they may loose them as pasengers.

Killer Plastics by Krish says: Last month, I had my vacation at Manali and one thing I noticed the the shps there do not use Plastic bags they only wrap the item with paper bags. when I asked why the common reply received is " Plastic is banned here and we will be heavily fines if we use plastic bags" That is the point... Plastic is banned everywhere in India but are we not using it? No amount of education, training, advertisement will work on us. we educated fools always see our benefit first and national interest later. Noida / G Noida Authority should implement a similar ban seriously by adding a FINE for not obeying it. what is required here is effective montoring to ensure that the rule is followed. The best way is instead of making the rule all across, they can implement in select market areas to start with with enough notice to shop keepers about the ban and fine associated with it. And I am sure if we start with some markets and monitor s effectively the same can be replicated in no time across these region. Today though the ban is in place what is not there is effective and honest monotoring. Help of NGO''s should be sought to ensure the compliance.

Water logging by Krish says: Water logging - Is it an infrastructure issue? While Crores and Crores of money is being spent to develop the infrastruture in and around Delhi, how come a perinial problem like Water logging is not given a thought while designing the infrastrctuer developments? Is it a flaw in the design or never thoughtof. Have you ever felt water logging issues 10 years back? Is there any agency which certifies that the new developments are free from issues of water logging? How safe is Noida Under pass at Atta Chowk on water logging? Any thoughts?
